Stuffington Bear Factory

Yesterday Tanner's kindergarten class went on a field trip to the Stuffington Bear Factory in Phoenix.

Step 1: Pick out a bear. The kids could choose from brown, black, green, or yellow.

Step 2: Step on a pedal so a tube will blow the stuffing into the bear.

Step 3: Have a helper sew the bear's back shut.

Step 4: Take the bear to a helper so the he can run a brush over the seams to ensure no stuffing is sticking out.

Step 5: Use an electric brush to brush the bear.

Step 6: Blow air on the bear to fluff it up.

Step 7: Enjoy your new bear.

They have this bear in their lobby. It's the biggest bear they've made and weighs over 500 lbs.

Morgan's Birthday Celebration Part II

Well, we finished celebrating Morgan's birthday. The other kids used their own money to purchase Morgan gifts. In effort to provide more useful information considering their kindness, I will list the actual price and real price for each item. The kids each earn a weekly allowance equal to half their age. Ten percent of gross goes to tithing and twenty-five percent of gross goes to savings. Therefore, each child retains sixty-five percent of their allowance as discretionary.

Tanner: A Cinderella doll with various dresses and shoes. Actual price: approximately $10. Real price: approximately 6 weeks worth of allowance.

Jordan: A Sleeping Beauty doll. Actual price: approximately $10. Real price: approximately 3 weeks worth of allowance.

Weston: A Sleeping Beauty horse. Actual price: approximately $15. Real price: approximately 6 weeks worth of allowance.

Morgan looks like she's had too much cake.

Morgan's Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Morgan's birthday yesterday because on her birthday Tanner has a field trip for school, Jordan has volleyball practice from 6:45 - 8:45, and Weston has a Pack meeting for Cub Scouts at 7:00.

As cute and wonderful as she can be

Since Morgan has a December birthday it is only appropriate that she eats in accordance with guidelines set out in the movie A Christmas Story (...and how does a piggy eat?...)

Given that Weston is our resident expert on excess gas we thought we'd have him get rid of the extra air in the bag.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This year the house wasn't quite as full for Thanksgiving as it was last year. Nevertheless, we still had a great time and are grateful that we were able to spend the time with loved ones. For Thanksgiving itself we had our family of 7, Silly Grandpa, Grandpa Tom, and Craig, Emily, Brandon, and Briana. This year we smoked two turkey breasts for the big feast. They actually turned out pretty good. On Saturday Sabrina brought Dallin and Austin over for dinner.

We are especially grateful for our "Silly" Grandpa and all he does to assist us!
